TAP Hits New Passenger Record


The Portuguese national airline, TAP Portugal, carried more than ten million passengers in 2012, a record for the company.
TAP’s best overall results last were were for its European routes, on which the airline transported 300,000 more passengers than in 2011.
Executive President Fernando Pinto said: “TAP and its employees are to be congratulated because these results were only possible thanks to their effort, dedication and professionalism,” adding that “an airline exists for its clients. It is for them that we work each day and it is our clients I want to thank for the trust they have placed in us...not forgetting the travel agents as well as our other business partners because commercial aviation and tourism is only successful thanks to teamwork.”
