New Hotel Inaugurated in Penela

The Duecitânia Design Hotel was officially opened last month (December) in the pretty town of Penela in central Portugal.
Converted from a 19th century paper factory, the new four-star hotel has 42 guest-rooms comprising a selection of doubles, twins and suites spread across three floors.
Penela is very close to Conimbriga, an excavated Roman town famous for its immaculately-preserved mosaics in the House of Fountains.
Surrounded by gardens, the Duecitânia Design Hotel reflects the time of the Roman era through many of its architectural details and interior furnishings.
Guest facilities include free Wi-Fi Internet access, 24-hour reception and room service, a heated indoor swimming pool, Turkish bath, Jacuzzi, sauna, spa, bar, restaurant and laundry service.
