The long-awaited inauguration of the Sana group's first top-end property in Portugal finally took place last month (October) after several months of delay.
Located at the Vasco da Gama tower at Lisbon's Parque das Nações, the luxury hotel cost an estimated €70 million to construct after thirteen years of planning and development.
The new Myriad by Sana Hotels (as it is known) is 143 metres tall with 23 floors comprising a total of 186 rooms, including 10 suites and a presidential suite.
Facilities include two restaurants and the Sayanna Wellness Spa on the top floor.
Meanwhile, the company is currently in the process of building more hotels in Portugal as part of a global investment of some €200 million. Projects include the Epic Sana located in the Amoreiras district of Lisbon and the Epic Sana Algarve at Praia da Falésia near Albufeira, both due to open in spring 2013.
