Spa & Nature Park Opens in Pedras Salgadas

Costing an estimated €7.5 million to build, the Pedras Salgadas Spa & Nature Park was inaugurated recently in the extreme north of Portugal.
Located in the thermal spa town of Pedras Salgadas, the new facility comprises rustic-style accommodation in the form of eco-houses built primarily of wood in order to blend in with their natural surroundings.
The new resort's centrepiece is its modern spa where guests can be pampered with a wide range of wellness treatments and therapies, including rejuvenating facials, full-body electro-stimulation and purifying exfoliation of the body's skin.
Other attractions include boating, swimming in the resort's outdoor swimming pool, a mini golf course and fine dining in the Casa de Chá regional restaurant.
Future plans at the Pedras Salgadas Spa & Nature Park include a casino and a museum.
