TAP Stays on the Safe List

The Portuguese national carrier TAP Portugal retained its position among the world’s top ten safest airlines last year, according to a recent survey of all the world's airlines.
The 2012 list published by the Hamburg-based Jet Airline Crash Data Evaluation Center (JACDEC) stated that TAP remains among the few airlines that has suffered no accidents in more than three decades.
The only other European carrier in the top ten was British Airways, ranked in tenth position.
TAP Portugal transported over 9 million passengers and more than 89,000 tonnes of mail and cargo last year, covering 76 destinations across 34 countries.
